Ordered: Chili MoMos and the chicken vindaloo (medium hot).  The food was delicious.  Casual but nice ambience. Went on a Friday night and they were able to seat us immediately. Spice was just right (Indian spicy!).

Service was great. They were very attentive.

    Will definitely be returning!

So I just got back from India a couple weeks ago and was missing the food. I saw the reviews for Urban Tandoor and ordered delivery. Unfortunately, it was a miss.

The goat curry was meh and could be more flavorful with spice. The big miss was the goat being extremely fatty; sheets of fat.

The buffalo momos were okay, but the sauce for them was bland.

Hopefully, it was an off night, but I prefer other Indian spots in the area.

Update - 32 minutes later - things are not well...

Bottom line: Fantastic Indian and Nepalese food. Get the dry fried spinach and lotus. Momo also a must.

Rasika may get all the hype but I would choose this over Rasika any day. Every dish we had was delicious. To start we had dry fried spinach and lotus - it is sort of like a fried salad (my partner's dream!). The momo are why we came and they did not disappoint - a warning that the chili sauce option (the one we got) is no joke - spicy!

For dinner we got traditional Nepalese goat curry and the chicken korma - both had amazing sauces. The goat curry had a little kick to it and the chicken korma had a beautifully creamy yellow sauce.

Dinner came with rice and we ordered naan as well. They have some interesting, non traditional naan flavors like goat cheese naan.

After five month or so after my last review, I finally decided to give this place another try and I'm so glad I did. I walked in on Saturday around 1pm. My companion and I were seated immediately and offered a beverage. The buffet selection has changed since the last time I visited and the food was immensely better. My last visit, I found essentially all the dishes to be dry. However, this time, all the dishes were flavorful and juicy. Not only was the food delicious, I was impressed that the management heard the feedback and made adjustments to address it.

Three items really stood out during my visit. Palak Paneer was so creamy and delicious. I would have been happy just eating a plateful of this. The Mixed Veggie Curry, to my surprise, was amazing. I wish they added more creative vegetables than the usual frozen veggie mix you might see at the grocery store, but the curry was very flavorful. And finally, the Butter Nann. It was so soft, pillow-y, and buttery. Don't miss out on it, if you're here. I did notice that they didn't have the Chicken Biryani anymore and interestingly added the chicken Fried Rice.

The manager on duty, Rikkesh, and his team were very attentive. Not just to our table, but the whole restaurant and the buffet area. If there was a mess at the buffet line (as expected, when there's rice), they were very prompt to clean it up - even before a customer brought it to their attention. I'm very glad I gave this place another try and didn't let my last experience stop me.

We did end up coming back but unfortunately we both left with our stomachs not feeling great. I was really hoping we had found our "place" but I don't think we will be back much, if at all.
